Your tasks
- Technical leadership and professional development of the mechanical design team
- Technical responsibility for the mechanical development and design of complex custom machines and systems
- Planning and prioritizing design tasks and coordinating team capacity while taking quality, costs, and deadlines into account
- Development of innovative, practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions
- Supporting projects during manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning, and incorporating the insights gained into the design process
- Close collaboration with the Sales, Electrical Design, Software Development, Manufacturing, and Assembly departments
- Technical coordination with customers, suppliers, and internal project stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with relevant norms, guidelines, and quality standards
- Optimization and Standardization of Design Processes, Assemblies, and Technical Solutions
- Supporting the sales team in the technical evaluation of customer requirements, concept development, and estimating the engineering effort required for proposals
What you bring along
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics, advanced training as a state-certified technician with relevant professional experience, or a comparable technical qualification
- Several years of solid professional experience in the mechanical design of automation solutions and equipment
- Extensive knowledge of custom machine building, particularly in the development and design of automated manufacturing, assembly, and handling systems
- Proficiency in a common 3D CAD system, preferably SOLIDWORKS
- In-depth knowledge of the design of mechanical assemblies, as well as drive technology, pneumatics, and material handling technology
- Experience leading a design team or proven experience in the technical management of large-scale projects
- A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly procedures, and the commissioning of automation systems
- An independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
- A strong sense of responsibility, assertiveness, and excellent communication skills
